Why Choose Me?

I have 25+ years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities with a variety of different challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, OCD, learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, social-emotional difficulties, oppositional defiance disorder, apraxia, sensory processing disorder, speech and language disorders, Nonverbal Learning Disorders, PANDAS / PANS, and food allergies.

I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker with a master's degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. I also hold a master's degree in Elementary and Secondary Special Education from Bank Street College of Education.

I see your child as a human being before any disabilities or special needs. I look at the whole child who may have different behaviors in different settings and I can help you to understand why.

I have given 23+ presentations and workshops throughout Westchester County for both parents and teachers. For parents, I have spoken on topics such as combating bullying, understanding autism, positive behavior management, positive parenting, special education advocacy, and red flags in child development. For teachers, I have spoken on topics such as overcoming the barriers of working with children with special needs, managing challenging behavior in inclusion classes, and positive behavior management.

I understand that every child and every family is unique. Your goals and needs will direct how, when and where we meet. Due to the uniqueness of every case, I tell it like it is. I will tell you the truth even when I know it’s not what you want to hear. I believe in honesty.
